Being old-fashioned, Ivanka Trump believes in luxury and glamour. Her 10-room apartment in Manhattan’s Park Avenue speaks of it. Trump, the executive vice president of development and acquisitions for the Trump Organization, was married recently and had a child with husband Jared Kushner, who runs Observer Media Group. The couple’s first house together was completely adorned by Trump with help from master decorator Kelly Behun. Standing outside her Park Avenue apartment, Ivanka Trump is seen in a Jean Paul Gaultier skirt, Sophie Theallet sweater, and her own design for shoes and earrings.
Elitis velvet for the sofa and vintage Jindrich Halabala armchairs surrounds the 1970’s Fernand Dresse cocktail table in the living room. With custom-made rugs from ABC Carpet and Home, her living room is completely designed by Kelly Behun.
A custom-made cocktail table, Christian Liaigre linen, prints by John Baldessari, a Hans Boujaran rug, and Benjamin Moore’s shade of Galveston Gray adorn a section of the den.
The other den includes a lacquered desk designed by Behun and has Eamus chairs with Edelman leather.
The vestibule wall features a mural hand-painted by Bob George Studio, and Behun has designed the driftwood base table.
In the dining room, a Lindsey Edelman light fixture surrounds a custom-made table, along with Mies van der Roche chairs leathered up in Jerry Pair and Jeff Zimmerman’s candlesticks along with Donald Kaufman’s DKC-84 shade.
The master bedroom is a custom headboard upholstered in an alpaca velvet, and the task lamps are reproductions of an Édouard-Wilfred Buquet design. Behun has designed the side tables of ebonized wood and shagreen and the lacquer console along with 1940s French stools and Mariah Robertson’s prints.
The nursery has a dresser and an armchair from Restoration Hardware, a Marc Bankowsky mirror, a Murano glass chandelier, and Sandberg wallpaper for the ceiling.
The lady certainly has a rich yet subtle, understated taste in comparison to Melania Trump, Donald Trump’s wife. You can also take a look inside Tommy Hilfiger’s New York apartment.
