Turns out Jon Favreau was the mystery buyer of this luxurious $24 million Laguna Beach mansion

Another Hollywood biggie to purchase a luxurious home is Jon Favreau. After keeping it rock solid in the industry for 30 years, the film icon has gathered a bounty of riches – part of which he recently spent on a mega mansion at Laguna Beach.

The citadel-like home consists of several stories and is fully landlocked. It is situated right before a rugged hill and has direct access to the most secluded and desirable beaches in Orange County. The residence was built in the late 1990s and was sold to Favreau by real estate businessman Michael Narlinger and his wife Kimberly.

The massive 8,600-square-foot structure has recently been renovated and features luxe interior spaces complete with stone columns and wood-beamed ceilings everywhere. Some of its outstanding décor elements include French doors that open to massive terraces, a kitchen with granite countertops and premium appliances, and a movie theater and elevator.

Further, the home also docks in a sitting area and private terrace with exotic water and sunset views as part of the primary suite upstairs, while the lower level features an oversized lounge and wet bar that opens to a pool and poolside cabana.

The outside includes two separate grassy lawns, plus an outdoor fireplace as well. The luxe residence is situated in guard-gated Irvine Cove which is also home to big names such as billionaire Sue Gross, “Cheers” creator James Burrows, LA Fitness founder Chin Yol Yi and hedge fund manager Joseph Edelman.
