To soak up the summer sun, Jeff Bezos has sailed his $500 million Koru superyacht thousands of miles across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. Its sails, as massive as skyscrapers, had dozens of workers perched on them, working like trapeze artists to perform maintenance.

Centibillionaire Jeff Bezos is gearing up for a fun summer, what with his magnificent megayacht Koru undergoing repairs to prepare for the voyages that lie ahead. If history has taught us anything, it is that this sea-faring tycoon worth $198 billion loves to sail the Mediterranean aboard his $500 million pleasure craft in the company of his fiancee Lauren Sanchez and their family and friends. After taking possession of his new vessel in Mallorca last summer, Bezos sailed to the most idyllic Mediterranean locations for several months. That time is soon approaching, and the world’s largest sailing boat is getting prepared for what could be yet another fun summer in the lives of the Bezos family.

The 416-feet Oceanco vessel is currently docked in the port of Palma, in the outer docks of the STP shipyards, per Diario de Mallorca. The schooner sailed from the Caribbean island of St. Thomas to Mallorca with the aim of getting ready for the summer season in the Mediterranean. The luxury boat is docked in the outer dams of the STP shipyard (intended for the repair and maintenance of large yachts), displaying its imposing silhouette and three towering masts in all its glory. Per the publication, the humongous boat is visible even in the night from any point of the Paseo Marítimo.

At 230 feet, the sails of Koru themselves are as tall as a giant Redwood tree.

The action unfolds as soon as the day begins, with hordes of workers engrossed in the mizzenmast of a ship, almost looking like acrobats fixing and figuring things out on one of the world’s most impressive ships.

The interiors of this classic schooner have always been under wraps, but the wooden covers, navy blue helmet, and aluminum structure are out there for admiring. The large bow and the elevated stern boast a swimming pool, and Koru is believed to sleep 18 guests in 6 stately cabins serviced by a crew of 40. Despite being so huge, a lot of arsenal is not fitted aboard Koru but on its $75 million support vessel Abeona. While the Damen Yachting vessel spanning 247 feet is still moored in Fort Lauderdale, Koru Yacht is en route to France, per Marine Traffic.

Power couple Bezos and Sanchez were in Paris at the beginning of the year to celebrate the American businessman’s 60th birthday. Perhaps they wanted a change of scenery for their special occasions that have almost all taken place on the Koru megayacht. With Koru gearing up for the approaching summer and sailing season, we will presumably see the besotted Bezos back on his half-a-billion-dollar boat with his svelte ladylove by his side.
