2018 Audi A8 to debut in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” movie

The 2018 Audi A8 will be revealed on 11th July at an event in Barcelona, Spain, but the German automaker is going to give us an early first look of the new flagship luxury sedan through the new movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming” premiering on June 28. In the latest Marvel film, an A8 L is used to chauffeur Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland. However, the marque won’t give a complete view of the A8 in the movie and will only reveal the front and side designs. Additionally, the car’s self-driving technology will also be on display in the film.

The semi-autonomous tech of the 2018 Audi A8 is one its biggest upgrades. According to reports, the feature will allow the new A8 to drive itself at speeds up to 37 miles per hour, depending on the conditions. It will allow hands-off, eyes-off autonomous driving in heavy traffic conditions, making it the first vehicle with so-called Level 3 self-driving capability. All the cars currently on sale with self-driving features are still at Level 2 capability, as they require constant monitoring in the case of an emergency.
