Home Depot co-founder Arthur Blank’s $180 million superyacht, docked in New Orleans, steals the spotlight from the rich and famous flocking to the Super Bowl

The real showstopper at the upcoming Super Bowl LIX won’t just be the game; the buzz has already been generated by a stunning 295-foot luxury yacht belonging to Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank. The striking vessel, called DreAMBoat as a nod to Blank’s initials (AMB), made waves this week as it docked along the Mississippi River behind the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans ahead of the big game.

It’s not every day that this $180 million masterpiece graces the scene, but the Super Bowl has a way of drawing out the world’s most extravagant toys. Dreamboat previously turned heads at the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami, and now, the 2019-built yacht is back for another spectacle, according to Nola.com.

Designed by world-renowned naval architect Espen Øino, the vessel will remain in New Orleans until the game takes place on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome.

Project Y726 at the Oceanco shipyard

However, this could be Blank’s final Super Bowl appearance with Dreamboat. The Home Depot founder has already commissioned a new 364-foot Oceanco motor yacht, codenamed Project Y726, which will leave Dreamboat in its wake. Set to feature two cinemas, a winter garden, a beach club lounge, and a swimming pool, the upcoming vessel promises to be an even grander affair. But for now, Dreamboat remains a stunning testament to Blank’s taste for luxury.

Dreamboat yacht, dashing as they come-

In a sea of extravagant vessels, it takes something truly special to stand out, and Arthur Blank’s Dreamboat does just that. Built in the Netherlands and launched in 2019, this breathtaking yacht offers a lavish escape for 23 guests across 11 opulent cabins, while 33 crew members ensure an unmatched level of service.

From its swimming pool and sun deck jacuzzi to its sauna, steam room, massage room, plunge pool, and rain shower, Dreamboat is the definition of floating luxury. A fully equipped gym and an expansive beach club further elevate the experience. Blank was reportedly deeply involved in the yacht’s design, ensuring it perfectly reflected his personal and family-friendly lifestyle.

Maintaining this floating palace costs $18 million annually, a drop in the ocean for a billionaire worth $9.5 billion, according to Forbes. But as Dreamboat prepares to take center stage at Super Bowl LIX, one thing is certain, it remains one of the most captivating superyachts to grace the event.

Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank

The inspiring Arthur Blank-

Arthur Blank started as an accountant at Arthur Young and Company, but fate had bigger plans. Ironically, the man behind The Home Depot was once fired from the home improvement company Handy Dan, alongside his future business partner Bernard Marcus. That setback led to a game-changing comeback when they launched The Home Depot, turning it into one of America’s most successful retail giants and making Blank a billionaire.

After retiring as Co-Chairman in 2001, he set his sights on sports and bought the Atlanta Falcons for $545 million the following year. But his influence goes beyond business. Through The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, he has championed education, healthcare, and community development. The 82-year-old father of six also played a key role in building Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a world-class venue in Atlanta.

It’s hard to believe this self-made mogul once ran a landscaping and laundry pick-up service in college just to pay his bills.
