Superyacht Crescent, the 443-foot-long megayacht of one of Russia’s richest tycoons, Igor Sechin, is on the move after almost four years. No, the Lürssen vessel that was seized at Tarragona, Spain, isn’t a free bird but just one in need of some care. The $600 million megayacht of the Rosneft boss, which was also raided and searched by the FBI, left the territory of Tarragona for another port, MB92, in Barcelona. The massive boat that houses 18 guests with a crew of over 40 is undergoing service work until the month of September.

The four-decker with a volume of 9,149 tons made a trip of a measly 40 to 45 nautical miles, but it sure would’ve been great to stretch her legs after the very long and seemingly unending sabbatical.

Crescent in Tarragona

The short journey of one of the most beautiful Lürssen vessels in the world from Tarragona to Barcelona was guarded under control of the Maritime Administration, according to Megayacht News. The ship, boasting the work of French design-house Zuretti and exterior designer Espen Oeino, was sanctioned in March 2022.

It features a gorgeous glass-bottomed pool, jacuzzi, a well-equipped gymnasium, and a beach club. Its pièce de résistance is a soaring three-deck glass atrium that floods the interiors with sunlight and evokes the grandeur of a crystal cathedral. Owing to her large size, an elevator connects the four decks, and the beautiful boat also comes with a movie theatre, helipads, and beauty salon. If any superyacht ever deserved a refresh, it’s this exquisite vessel, brimming with every indulgence money can buy.

Crescent is an even more opulent and expensive luxury vessel with a price tag of $600 million and an estimated annual maintenance cost of up to $60 million, which is obviously not the kind of money that will be spent on her after seizure. MB92 has been owned by alternative investment firm Squircle Capital since 2019, with a reported special interest by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in acquiring it.
