Most people talk about a billionaire and his superyacht as if its only purpose is flexing. But the fact is, these tycoons could truly need a sanctuary away from prying eyes and wagging tongues. One secretive billionaire is taking this a notch higher and actually had his Feadship vessel designed around his lifestyle choices. Enter Project 828, a through-and-through lifestyle-focused luxury vessel for an active UHNI. Feadship shared that the design brief for the springtime launch was to deliver a multi-use milieu aboard the motoryacht.

But one aspect that truly stands out first and foremost on Project 828, aka Project Milky Way, is its pool. At 16.7 meters by 3 meters, it works out to just over 50 square meters of water and is one of the largest swimming pools ever engineered into a Feadship hull. It also serves as the core social focal point of the exterior layout.

Project 828’s pool is about 67% as long as 511-footer superyacht Dilbar, which is known to have the largest swimming pool on any superyacht. Beyond the splendid pool for the swim-loving owner, Project Milky Way will flaunt interior design that delivers soft, flowing lines throughout all guest and owner spaces, designed by RWD. reported Feadship.

The exterior is by Studio De Voogt, giving the 2,623 GT vessel a very sleek silhouette with a long bow and much of the superyacht’s mass and activity directed toward the stern. To counter the significant volume pushed aft by the long bow, De Voogt incorporated a prominent, highly structured mast to perfectly balance the 294-foot yacht’s overall proportions.

The four-decker, touted to be worth $300 million, was commissioned in 2023 and is to be delivered this year. “This project reflects an intimately close collaboration between the private client and the unified project team. The client had a precise vision for a unique, full custom Feadship, and we are extremely proud of the result,” said Sales Director Maarten Jansen. Currently, Milky Way is undergoing final outfitting, dockside testing, and system commissioning in the Netherlands before commencing sea trials ahead of final delivery to her owner.
