Middle East’s love affair with gold is well known, and over the years, we have seen so many luxury cars customized with the precious metal that we have lost count. Another one has just joined the long list and this one-of-a-kind Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 was customized by Dubai-based Maatouk Design London. However, unlike the completely gold wrapped supercars we have seen in the past, this one-off customized Aventador has gold plated accents, both inside and outside.
The company’s website describes its line of work as “designing and executing deluxe souvenir antiques and shields for kings, presidents, prime ministers and VIP’s that meet all needs for all public and private occasions”. This gold Aventador was a custom order from Qatari Businessman Mr. Jaber Bin Abdallah Al Hmaidi who the company says, “requested to modify this car and make it ready for the Qatar National Day 2015 festivals”. Mechanically, no changes have been made to the car and all the upgrades are merely cosmetic.
