Benetti’s Project Oro is making waves at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show for all the right reasons. The 278-footer will be offered as a full-custom design from Giorgio M Cassetta, who provides the luxury vessel with a unique, instantly recognizable silhouette. Project Oro has a defining plumb bow and arching lines that taper into curved aft decks. A large beach club flanked by unfolding sea terraces on both sides of the beam catches the eye first, followed by the unmissable connection between the main deck and beach club, which are connected by two staircases on either side of the transom.
Per Boat International, the yacht offers a 400-square meter sundeck that houses several lounging areas and dining spaces. The sprawling sundeck can be accessed via a pair of elevators. Benetti’s CCO Sebastiano Fanizza mentioned that the spacious deck was born from clients looking for a liveable and ample alfresco space to enjoy. The swimming pool is located aft, above the beach club. “During the development of the yacht Project ORO, we wanted to seize the opportunity to express numerous innovative concepts, aspiring to bring them together in a unique yacht,” said designer Giorgio M. Cassetta.
He continued, “By developing a language of style featuring great visual purity and strong characterization of the main masses, and by renouncing the criteria of civil architecture in favor of a freer and more fluid approach, we have tried to propel the project into an attainable future. We hope the bold content recognizes a series of desires that customers in this size range frequently express and are unlikely to have found fulfilled by the boats they have looked at so far.” Project Oro would be fitted with hybrid propulsion and boast a GT of around 2,500.
