Every time a YouTuber picks up an exotic car, we pretty much know that it’s going to be manhandled in the name of more views and subscribers. We’ve lost count of the number of supercars that have been sacrificed by attention-grabbing content creators. The newest to join the list is controversial YouTube star Jake Paul who recently got himself a Ferrari 296 GTB after dropping a cool $16 million on a luxurious mansion in Puerto Rico. After finding financial success in his boxing career, Jake is making a comeback on YouTube, promising to post videos more frequently. In his latest video, the 26-year-old influencer can be seen buying his very first Ferrari and breaking the $421,000 supercar within an hour.

Capturing the experience of buying the yellow 296 GTB from the Ferrari Puerto Rico dealership in San Juan, the Youtuber inspects the rear-wheel-drive supercar along with all its cool features. One of his friends even jumps into the frunk to show how much space it has to offer. Finally after stepping inside the hybrid supercar, Jake says: “Bro, I’m nervous to drive this thing. It’s so nice that I just don’t even—I’m gonna leave it here.” Shortly after, he heads out of the dealership to drive the Ferrari for the very first time. Unveiled in 2021, the Ferrari 296 GTB is powered by a hybrid powertrain that combines a 3.0-liter V6 with a 165hp electric motor.

Jake quickly forgets his nervousness driving the 830 horsepower supercar and resorts to some tire-screeching action. The YouTuber-turned-boxer even compliments the grip on offer despite the 296 GTB being a rear-wheel-drive supercar. He then heads to a parking lot where pulls off some rubber-burning donuts. With just 56 miles on the odometer, the antics prove to be a little too much for the brand-new Ferrari, which goes into a meltdown. The digital instrument cluster lights up like a Christmas tree, displaying a bunch of warning messages, including headlight malfunction and ESC (which Jake keeps calling an ‘escape’ system) failure. “Bro, you just bought this car,” one of his friends can be heard saying. While the Ferrari is still drivable, it needs to be taken back to the dealership.
