When the giants come out to show off their prized catch, no stone is ever left unturned. Such is the case with special edition bikes these days, with automakers climbing the bucket – one great piece of the machine at a time. German car-wonder Mercedes becomes the latest one to launch a few new products: a full-suspension mountain bike, a high-end carbon fiber racing bike, a trekking bike, and a fitness children’s bike.
The mountain bike features a Fox Racing F32 RL suspension fork, a DT Swiss suspension strut, a 30-speed x.9 gear shift system from SRAM, hydraulic AVID Elixir 5 disc brakes, and DT Swiss X1900 wheels. This costs around $4,650. The mountain bike features a carbon fiber frame and uses SRAM Red gearshift components and lightweight DT Swiss RR 1450 racing wheels and is tagged at $7,000. The trekking bike comes with a Busch & Muller lighting system with Shimano hub dynamo, a mudguard, and a luggage carrier priced at $1,970. The fitness bike comes packed with a lockable Suntour XCR suspension fork and hydraulic disc brakes and is priced at $1,700.
