With gaming billionaire Gabe Newell at the helm of Oceanco, the 262-foot Lassel superyacht reads like a gamer’s grand tour, pairing a VIP aft helideck and a glass lit spa with an amidships infinity pool framed by three floating decks

It’s a floating mansion, it’s a hotel, it’s a vision from the past yet crafted for the present. One glance at Oceanco’s Lassel from the Simply Custom range evokes all these emotions in a single stroke of nautical artistry. The 262-footer marries interiors by Oceanteriors with an exterior penned by Tony Castro. The name Lassel honors Richard Lassels, the 17th-century travel writer who first coined the term “Grand Tour.” For him, it described years-long journeys of discovery through Italy. For today’s owners, this vessel promises unforgettable voyages of their own, rich in discovery and indulgence.

Inside, the yacht channels a distinctly oceanic spirit. Textures, whites, blues, and beiges intertwine to conjure the serenity of beaches and sea life, yet always with a luxurious flourish. Naturally, the owner’s stateroom is the grandest and most alluring space on board. Its panoramic ceiling, wrap-around glass walls, and artful pairing of stones and fabrics allow natural light, perhaps the most luxurious furnishing of all, to flood the suite in a glow only found at sea.

Wellness and leisure are central to Lassel’s design. A lower-deck spa opens directly to the seascape through lift-up sides, creating a sanctuary that breathes with the horizon. Sensory showers, a hot tub with massaging water jets, and a hydromassage Jacuzzi are joined by a glass ceiling, the transparent bottom of the infinity pool above, bathing the spa in natural light. On the upper deck, the pool itself becomes a centerpiece of relaxation, seemingly suspended in midair.

There is also a helideck, and what truly sets Lassel apart is the bold way these amenities are arranged. The helideck, fully aft, feels like an exclusive VIP lounge, while the pool dazzles amidships, framed by three decks dramatically floating above.

Part of the Simply Custom collection, Lassel is one of 27 yachts built on a shared technical platform, each boasting a gross tonnage between 2,500 and 2,700 GT. A symphony of design, heritage, and innovation, Lassel is more than a yacht; it is a voyage that brings the past and the future together, one moment at a time.

Oceanco client turned owner, billionaire Gabe Newell acquired the Dutch yard in August 2025.
