Italian marque Automobili Pininfarina has come up with a series of special edition hypercars that are inspired by Batman’s billionaire alter ego, Bruce Wayne. Paying homage to the legendary DC character, the limited edition hypercars were created in collaboration with Wayne Enterprises, a luxury brand developed by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. The lineup includes two Bruce Wayne-themed versions of the roofless Barchetta 95 (B95) and the Battista hyper GT. “Designing an all-electric hypercar inspired by Bruce Wayne is a dream assignment for our team, giving them creative freedom to place themselves into the imagination of someone as iconic as Bruce Wayne,” Pininfarina’s chief design officer Dave Amantea said in a statement. “These two exclusive specifications for our two hypercars represent the ultimate vehicles for the man behind the most famous mask in the world.”
Aptly named Gotham and Dark Knight, the limited edition versions feature special aesthetic updates that are inspired by Wayne’s billionaire lifestyle and elegant taste. The Dark Knight versions come finished in a glossy dark blue paint named Nero Profondo on the outside, along with black accents and ceramic polished rims.
On the inside, the cabin is decked out in black Alcantara, black leather upholstery, and black and gold duo-tone contrast stitching. On the other hand, the Gotham versions wear Argento Vittorio gloss paint and come fitted with stealthy black alloys.
The cabin gets tan leather upholstery, bespoke center panel quilting, and tan stitching. All four versions in the line-up feature Wayne Enterprises logos throughout, along with a unique aluminum chassis and door plate. Additionally, the new voice command system is modeled after Wayne’s butler, Alfred Pennyworth.
Pininfarina says the Bruce Wayne-inspired special editions showcase “many unique and previously unseen technical specifications.” There are some subtle design changes, which include a new curved glass roof, a revamped door design, and extra air inlets in the front. The limited editions are mechanically unchanged from the standard Battista and B95. Each car comes with a 120.0-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery powering four electric motors that generate a combined output of 1,900 horsepower.
As a result, both B95 and Battista can rocket to 62 miles per hour in less than two seconds. Pininfarina has not revealed the pricing, but you’ll have to be as rich as Wayne to afford the standard versions – the Battista starts at $2.2 million, and the B95 costs $4.8 million.
