It may come as a bit of a surprise but spending $4 million on a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport doesn’t necessarily buy you cupholders for your beverages inside the cosseting ultra-luxury interior. For one multi-Bugatti customer, this will soon be a non-issue since Bugatti has designed a cupholder from scratch just for them.
Bugatti design director Frank Heyl has cooked up a door cupholder insert. It’s a decidedly low-tech solution for a multi-million hypercar with 1,600 horsepower. The owner’s name in the same color of the car’s accent color is a nice touch, though.
Shannon Ralston is a hypercar owner with a difference
Speaking of the owner, Shannon Ralston, CEO of Angel Staffing in San Antonio, one could say she’s a very special Bugatti owner. With two Chiron Super Sports to her name, Ralston also expects delivery of a 1-of-250 Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar in 2026. Not just that, her cars are far from garage queens, being regularly driven on road trips, track days, and more.
Ralston even took to social media commending Bugatti on its free services for the first four years, having sent her Chirons off for their annual service at zero cost. Ralston is a philanthropist, and her Chiron Super Sport nicknamed Le Diamant Blanc wears a wrap supporting an animal conservation organization. No wonder Ralston gets personal birthday wishes from Mate Rimac, CEO of Rimac Group, which includes Bugatti.
Ralston had seemingly reached out to Bugatti with her unique beverage problem after she spilled a drink in the door pocket. Bugatti, in return, has 3D-printed a prototype of the cupholder and shipped it out to her in time for Christmas. If she approves, it’ll probably be made out of the same sort of expensive metal/leather that goes into every Chiron’s interiors.
