It’s no secret that Gen Y love bicycles. More and more young people are avoiding driving school and tests by opting for two wheeled transport. And wherever Millennials go, brands will follow! A staggering number of luxury brands are already cashing in on the latest trend by launching designer bikes that use cutting edge technology and extravagant materials and Ted Baker is the latest to jump aboard the bandwagon (or bicycle?).
Created in collaboration with Quella, Ted Baker’s bicycles have a cool retro-minimal look. Slim steel frames, white rims and copper details, make the bicycle quaint and dreamy. However, while vintage may be the aesthetic, the bike is rooted in technological modernity thanks to Campagnolo Athena 11-speed components and Dia Compe brakes. Other notable details include a leather Brooks saddle and Mavic wheels.
At the end of the day a price tag of over $3000 (£1995) may be too much for some to handle and many of you may out the brakes on your designer bike dreams before they take off. But, these Ted Baker bicycles are already much more economical than some of their market counterparts. And the three awesome color choices (green, red and blue) only make us love this vintage inspired racer more.
