Over the last few years, we’ve seen countless rich influencers pulling off crazy and oftentimes extremely dangerous stunts to get more likes and subscribers across different social media platforms. However, an American entrepreneur decided to use the same strategy to promote his business online, which proved to be quite effective. Utah-based businessman Aaron Burningham bought a Tesla Cybertruck several months ago and has been an active member of the Tesla Cybertruck Facebook group. He initially gained attention by wrapping the stainless steel body of his electric pickup in bright red soon after delivery. He later followed it up with towing a boat and then a horse trailer, sharing his experience and corresponding photos on the Facebook group.

“Had a decent amount of stares pulling the boat, but even more so with the horse trailer, haha,” Aaron shared on the social media platform. This is when the entrepreneur came up with the idea to use his red Cybertruck as a tool to promote his business.

Aaron is the CEO of a company called Mizu, a specialist in automatic pool covers. To showcase the incredible strength of Mizu’s pool covers, he placed his dual-motor Cybertruck on one using a crane. The businessman even shared a video of craning the massive EV on the pool cover along with several photos, including one in which he can be seen sitting in the frunk.

Weighing in at 6,669 pounds, the dual-motor Cybertruck is much heavier than combustion-engine pickup trucks. It’s quite impressive that the automatic pool cover could take the weight of the electric pickup without falling apart. Nevertheless, it was a bold move by Aaron to pull off the stunt, especially considering that automatic pool covers are rated to hold around 2,000 pounds. “Wanted to find out if an automatic pool cover could hold my Cybertruck,” he wrote on Facebook. Had it gone wrong, Aaron would have been left with a flooded Cybertruck and a botched PR stunt.
