The world’s first bulletproof Bentley Bentayga can stop AK47 rounds and comes with smokescreen and shocking handles

Meet the world’s first bulletproof Bentley Bentayga which has been created by Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer, INKAS. Priced at $500,000, the armored luxury SUV strikes a fine balance between opulence and protection – two things that matter the most for VIPs and celebs. The company used state-of-the-art technology to armor-protect the Bentayga which is not only lightweight to maintain the car’s power-to-weight ratio and driving dynamics but also inconspicuous from the outside, retaining the SUV’s beautiful aesthetics. According to INKAS, the armored Bentayga meets the CEN 1063 BR6 standard protection, which means it can take bullets from a 7.62-millimeter assault rifle round fired from high-power guns like AK47 and ArmaLite AR-10. The luxury SUV also features protection for critical components like the fuel tank, suspension, battery, and ECU. In addition to that, the armored Bentayga can withstand blasts from two DM51 fragmentation hand grenades.

INKAS will also offer other protection equipment as optional extras, which include tailpipe protection, smoke screen system, engine bay fire suppression system, emergency lights, heavy-duty wheels, and electric door handles. The armored Bentley Bentayga is based on the range-topping variant, which is powered by the British automaker’s 6.0-liter W-12 engine that churns out 600 horsepower. INKAS didn’t reveal the total weight of all the armor plating and the additional protection features and how much of an effect it has on the car’s acceleration and dynamics; but we don’t expect it do the 0-60mph sprint in 4 seconds like the standard model.
