The Musashi megayacht is Feadship’s largest and most expensive yacht

Those familiar with the shipbuilding industry will most definitely recognize the name Feadship. The famed Dutch shipyard is known to boast of a high-end clientele, including Henry Malcolm Forbes, Paul Allen, and King Khalid of Saudi Arabia. With such names endorsing and vying for the shipyard, it definitely cannot be ignored. So when Feadship announced the launch of its largest yacht ever, we definitely had to take a look. Christened the Musashi, this 88-meter mega yacht is the second yacht in Feadship’s XL custom yacht series. Said to be the largest and most expensive yacht built by Feadship, its hull was built in Papendrecht, Netherlands, and was delivered to Makkum for outfitting.

Powered by a quadruple MTU 16V 4000 M90 marine diesel engines, it churns out a combined 14,600 hp. However, the shipyard has to release the performance specs yet. The exterior design and naval architecture credit go to Feadship’s De Voogt Naval Architects. The well-heeled person who commissioned the mega yacht entrusted the interior dressing to Sinot Yacht Design.
Rumors are already running rife that the megayacht might be another addition to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich’s fleet of megayachts. All we can say is that no matter whose fleet this beauty joins, she is sure to be the prized jewel.
