Pedal boats aren’t usually the most stylish of water vehicles, but this one is head and shoulders above the swan shaped boats that you’re used to. Created by Beau Lake, this boat is called the Runabout and it looks like a cross between a luxury car and a vintage yacht of some kind.
The Beau Lake website says, “The self-draining pedal boat consists of three primary construction components, including the hull, cockpit liner and deck surface, while an ergonomically designed, hand-carved wooden tiller with joystick component steers its course.”
The gorgeous navy color and mahogany deck already had us falling in love with this eco-friendly boat, but Beau Lake made it even more irresistible by adding leather seat covers that snap off for easy storage and a compartmentalized cooler that contours to the boat.
The Runabout has a molded fiberglass body, inlaid veneer deck and beautifully finished stainless steel castings and hardware. It is priced at $25,000.
We’re usually more Team Yacht than Team Pedal Boat, but this one has definitely won us over. Beau Lake says it’s built for excursions, sunset cruises and lake explorations, we say it’s perfect for lakeside getaway with your significant other.
