A 2019 survey in the United States revealed that over one in ten Americans have a zombie apocalypse plan ready. In fact, you can even find on a blogpost on CDC’s (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) official website that tells you how to prepare for a zombie apocalypse. While it does talk about how to choose an escape route, there’s no mention of the perfect vehicle that can sustain a zombie attack. But, worry not! Meet the Warlord, a six-wheeled tank-of-a-machine that will make your Tesla Model X look like a toy. It has been created by a Florida-based company appropriately named Apocalypse Manufacturing, and it is famous for its wild 6X6 conversions.
The Warlord is based on the Dodge Ram 1500 TRX and it uses the company’s proprietary middle axle that adds two more powered wheels. The crazy 6X6 truck features 37-inch mud-terrain tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels. A spare wheel is mounted on the bed which gets a custom frame made of 0.25-inch thick steel. Thankfully, Apocalypse Manufacturing stuck with the original design of the Ram TRX along with its engine under the hood. The 6X6 is powered by the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found in the regular TRX that churns out 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The interior is also identical to a regular TRX and offers the same luxurious amenities and features. The company is also offering some optional extras like 40-inch tires for $2,200, thermal night vision for $5,200, LED lighting underneath the truck which costs $1,000. As for the pricing of the Warlord, you can get one for $250,000.
