Airbus is raising the bar of luxury travel with its ‘Super First Class’ concept, which offers a full‑sized double bed, a mini‑bar, a two‑berth ottoman for socializing, and even a changing room.

Airbus has officially raised the bar for luxury commercial air travel with the unveiling of its all-new “Super First Class” concept for the A350-1000. Debuted at the 2025 Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, this next-generation cabin is not just an upgrade — it’s a reimagining of what First Class can be. Designed to deliver the privacy, comfort, and sophistication of a private jet, the A350-1000’s new First Class experience is poised to redefine how elite travelers fly.

At the center of this concept lies the Master Suite, a show-stopping, fully enclosed living space for two that takes full advantage of the aircraft’s widebody design. Set in a 1-1-1 layout across the front of the aircraft, the suite sits between the aisles and is crafted to offer the kind of comfort usually reserved for luxury residences or high-end hotel suites. Inside, passengers are treated to a wide double sofa, which effortlessly converts into a full-length double bed, making overnight flights feel more like restful retreats.

Across from the seating area, a dual-seat ottoman and dining table create an intimate space for in-flight meals or entertaining guests. Just behind a frosted glass partition lies a private lavatory and a dedicated changing area — eliminating the need to share facilities, a key pain point even in many high-end cabins. An optional mini-bar and generous storage complete the space, transforming the suite into a flying apartment.

One of the most unique touches is the suite’s immersive digital ceiling — a massive curved screen that wraps around the upper walls, replacing the absence of windows with a projection of the night sky or mood visuals. It’s a subtle but powerful design decision that enhances relaxation while reinforcing the idea that this is an experience, not just a seat.

Airbus has also made significant engineering changes to the cabin to support this vision. Lavatories, crew rest access stairs, and storage have been relocated to a central module behind the first set of doors, clearing room and maximizing usable space in the front section. Ceiling structures have been modified to allow more vertical space, and custom lighting, sculpted ceilings, and sleek paneling create a boutique, spa-like ambiance.

For travelers accustomed to the exclusivity of private jets, this new First Class offering closes the gap like never before. While a private jet may still win on flexibility and bespoke service, Airbus’s A350-1000 First Class matches — and even exceeds — it on space, amenities, and in-flight technology. And with the aircraft’s long-range capabilities, passengers can enjoy this ultra-luxury experience on international flagship routes with the ease of scheduled service.

In essence, Airbus has not just elevated First Class — it has reinvented it, delivering a bold, beautiful vision of air travel where privacy, elegance, and space take center stage. This isn’t just First Class. It is airborne luxury redefined.
