This is the worlds coolest economy class amenity kit

Emirates pioneers in bringing an interactive amenity kit in economy class. These kits use Augmented Reality (AR) technology to “unlock immersive content” onto your mobile devices. There are six designs to highlight the six different continents that the airline flies to – Australasia, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Far East. Each kit will include basic necessities like a toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, earplugs, and an eye mask – matching its external pattern. It is made of Neoprene material. It is a nice pouch for use even after your travel.

What you can do is download the Blippar app on your phone and use it to scan the bag. This will unlock a library of sorts on your phone from where you can get a wealth of information on thousands of objects. All you would need to do is point the phone to something – say a laptop, a watch, a pair of glasses, a toy – or your neighbor’s real-looking fake branded bag! Anything. This will be a good thing to do while n a short flight, because, really… how many things will you want to learn about sitting in an Economy seat on a flight?

Emirates has tied up with Blippar, the world leaders in AR and visual discovery platform. It features a knowledge graph called Blipparsphere which is powered through Artificial Intelligence. The service will be available on Emirates Airlines from August 1 onwards on select long-haul flights. Wonder if there will be some hidden charge here.
