Emirates releases commercial on Twitter entirely meant to troll United Airlines

On Monday morning, the world woke up to a disturbing video of a passenger being forcibly dragged out of an overbooked United Airlines flight which quickly went viral grabbing the headlines all over the world. It has not only become a colossal PR disaster for the airlines with calls for boycotting it growing stronger by the day, but also helped the nastiest feud in the airline industry get uglier. Using the backlash against United Airlines, Emirates posted a video on Twitter taking a dig at United and its CEO Oscar Munoz.

The video is in response to a comment Oscar Munoz made in March about Gulf Airlines (like Emirates) not actually being airlines. “Well Mr. Munoz,” the video reads. “According to Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel site, not only are we a real airline we are the best airline.” The video ends with – “fly the friendly skies… this time for real.”
