Qatar Airways shows no sign of slowing down despite having bagged the overall best airline in the world through the airline rating organization Skytrax. After winning the best business class in the world, the Doha-based airline has upped the ante and offered an unmatched ‘Qsuite Next Gen’ after giving the world a gem in the skies, the Qsuite.
While space, comfort, and opulence were never an issue to begin with, the wonderfully pleasant Qsuite Next Gen will completely blow your mind with additions like companion suites in window aisles. The new 4K OLED maneuverable entertainment screens can be fully pushed back, and there is ample privacy. If that wasn’t enough, an AI Digital Human cabin crew member named Sama would be at your service. The 2.0 version takes an award-winning product launched almost a decade ago in 2017, and betters it.
Qsuite Next Gen is impressive at first glance, with premium high-touch finishes, more shoulder space and leg room, and even larger lie-flat and double beds. If you haven’t been convinced it doesn’t get better than this 40,000 feet in the air, then perhaps the ‘Make My Bed’ service will seal the deal. Thanks to the ‘double bed’ mode and the ability to join four center suites, flying as a family became a breeze, allowing contact with loved ones at all times, which is a boon for infants and toddlers.
The swiveling TV screens ensure no matter who you are cuddling with, there is no scarcity of entertainment. In the case of single Qsuites adjacent to the window, travelers can open it using the partition as TV monitors slide out of the way to create a Companion Suite. The Qsuite Next Gen is modularity at its best!
Some other plusses include extra storage space, a digitally locked drawer, 21.5-inch video screens packed with 4K OLED panels, USB-C fast charging, and wireless charging. The Qsuite Next Gen will be witnessed in their Boeing 777-9 jetliners come 2025. “We will utilize our knowledge and our expertise from having a private jet company,” promises Qatar Airways CEO Badr Mohammed Al Meer. “I feel that nobody can develop a first class cabin better than us… we want to combine the experience from flying commercial and from flying a private jet and develop something new.”
