This futuristic high altitude balloon will take tourists to the edge of space for $125,000


A lot of people who love traveling and have mapped the entire planet already usually have a hard time deciding their next travel destination. They are in luck as travel plans have metamorphosed into a celestial event as a company called Space Perspective will make the dream of going in space a reality and that too in a huge hydrogen-filled balloon. Sounds dreamy right? But it’s a certain reality not too far away. An out-of-this-world experience the will carry eight passengers at a time on six-hour flights at a speed of 12 miles per hour. It won’t take you right out in space but float you high enough to see Earth’s curvature and the darkness of space which is achieved at an altitude of about 100,000 feet. The startup is already developing a Spaceship Neptune crew and test flights carrying scientific research payloads are expected to begin in 2021 with first flights carrying passengers are exacted to take place within the next three-and-a-half years. The spaceship looks incredible with a unique top shape that’s surrounded by big windows for the best possible views and also includes a minibar and a concealed lavatory. Space Perspective, founded by Jane Poynter and Taber MacCallum leased facilities at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center to make this dream come true. The balloon will gently carry people 99 percent above the Earth’s atmosphere; it’ll cruise around for up to two hours allowing passengers to share their experience via social media. The spaceship then makes a two-hour descent and splashes down into the sea, where a ship retrieves the passengers, the capsule, and the balloon.


It should be known this is not an out-an-out space experience; you won’t feel any weightlessness etc but nevertheless is an incredible experience, unlike anything you’ve ever seen. The initial cost will probably be in the neighborhood of $125,000 per passenger which is literally half of what’s expected to be paid for sub-orbital flights. Space Perspective wants to change the world’s perspective through this shuttle. They also added a romantic angle to it saying brides and grooms looking for an out-of-this-world wedding experience can do so in the most exclusive way ever!
