Cartier raises the bar of Haute Horlogerie with the limited edition Rotonde De Cartier Precious Icons Set watches

Luxury brand Cartier is back to raise the bar of Haute Horlogerie with Rotonde De Cartier precious ‘Icons Set.’ The latest collection seamlessly amalgamates two complications mastered by the brand- the mysterious and the skeleton in the form of three stellar timepieces like Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Skeleton Mysterious Double Tourbillon, Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux, and Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Astrotourbillon. Let’s start with the Mysterious Skeleton Double Tourbillon that flaunts a 45mm-wide case with straight lugs, narrow bezel, and Cartier’s cabochon crown in green jade set at 3 o’clock. The watch postures a remarkable illusion as it performs a complete rotation in 60 seconds and appears to be floating completely free in space. The Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux is the trilogy’s tidiest offering, with hidden gears been reduced to the bare minimum. This exuberant creation comes with a 43.5 mm x 11.9 mm platinum case that features a winding crown set with an aquamarine cabochon matching the color of the alligator-skin strap.

Finally, Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Astrotourbillon impresses with an entire skeleton movement exhibiting oversized Roman numerals, along with a Cartier signature that acts as a bridge. This watch boasts a diameter of 47 mm with a thickness of 14.9 mm. Its peculiarity lies in the rotation axis situated at the center of the movement and how the tourbillon carriage is positioned above the movement. Created in the Cartier Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the three new models offer a power reserve of 55 hours, 48 hours, and 52 hours respectively. The watches of the Icon Set are issued in limited editions of just 5 pieces. The watches come in a precious, lacquered box in gradations of green, blue, and grey, celebrating the art of wood marquetry and revealing each watch’s dial from the center. Pricing information for this set is available upon request. For more information, please visit the brand’s website.
