If a woman can’t have too many shoes, Trump can’t have too many enemies, Roman Abramovich can’t have too many superyachts (especially in good times), then football legend Cristiano Ronaldo can’t possibly own too many exquisite watches. Just last week, we were all captivated by his partner Georgina Rodriguez’s rare $90,000 gold Rolex Daytona with that striking green dial. And now, in less than a week, we find ourselves mesmerized by yet another addition to Ronaldo’s impressive collection – a $2 Million Jacob & Co Twin Turbo Furious timepiece.

It’s a tad infuriating for any watch enthusiast to witness Ronaldo parading around in one extraordinary timepiece after another, but let’s not forget that he is the world’s highest-paid athlete, boasting an estimated annual income of a staggering $136 million. With such financial prowess, it’s only natural that he indulges in these refined tastes. In fact, the luxury brand’s founder and creative director, Mr. Jacob Arabo, personally hand-delivered this seven-figure masterpiece to the Portuguese soccer superstar.

Mr. Arabo even shared a video of himself presenting the ultra-lavish timepiece to Ronaldo, captioning it, “I was in the neighborhood, so I decided to personally deliver a $1.3M watch for the one and only @cristiano.” It’s worth noting that Mr. Arabo inaugurated the first and largest Jacob and Co. showroom in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, back in May of this year. This would explain why he found himself in Ronaldo’s vicinity, armed with a watch that initially made its debut at Baselworld in 2016.

The Twin Turbo Furious is truly a masterpiece, a first-of-its-kind model that seamlessly combines two triple-axis tourbillons and a minute repeater. The insatiable Arabo family further pushed the boundaries of horological complexity in 2018 with the introduction of a more intricate Twin Turbo Furious, incorporating a monopusher chronograph and a time difference calculator. This watch brings to the wrist the exhilarating energy of the world’s fastest automobiles, all while showcasing the mechanical prowess unique to Jacob & Co’s universe of haute horlogerie.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Twin Turbo Furious boasts an astonishing 832 components. Even the tourbillons alone account for 104 components, yet they weigh a mere 1.15 grams. The case, measuring 57mm by 52mm and 17mm thick, offers an uninterrupted view of the impressive JCFM05 caliber, which comprises all 832 components. As if that weren’t enough, the 18K white gold case is adorned with 344 baguette-cut white diamonds. With such precision and an awe-inspiring price tag, it’s no surprise that a mere 18 pieces of the Twin Turbo Furious exist in the world.
