Hublot trades in embellishments for embroidery with their new Big Bang Broderie Sugar Skull watch

Hublot may have surprised us with their new hotel suite in Zurich, but now they are back to doing what they do best: creating amazing timepieces. The latest watch from this Swiss company is the Big Bang 41MM Broderie Sugar Skull, a creative take on timepieces that swaps the usual diamonds and gems for elaborate embroidery.

The watch is all black with a detailed and multicolored skull embroidered on the dial. Lurex threads in turquoise, navy blue, pale pink, fuchsia, yellow, orange and violet also adorn the strap in arabesque motifs. The rainbow hued embroidery pops brilliantly against the black ceramic case and silk lined dial. Add 36 crimson spinels to the bezel and you have a watch that’s as fashion forward as the wearer!

But fashion is not all that there is to this unique watch. It boasts an in-house HUB1110 mechanical self-winding movement with an impressive 42-hour power reserve. Bar Rafaeli was chosen to model the runway inspired watch much. The last time we saw this Israeli beauty, she was sporting some seriously sexy lingerie by Agent Provocateur.
