Jaeger-Lecoultre pays tribute to Vincent Van Gogh with an ultra exclusive Reverso

Jaeger-LeCoultre is paying homage to Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh through a stunning timepiece. The Swiss watchmakers have joined hands with the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam to create a limited edition Reverso watch that features the artist’s “Self Portrait as a Painter” from 1887-1888. Only four of these watches have been created meaning that collectors will be tripping over themselves trying to get one. The watch has been titled Reverso à Eclipse Tribute to Vincent van Gogh.

The painting has been painstakingly enameled on the watch dial by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s master craftsmen. This particular Reverso not only features a swivel case but also a shutter on the dial that can be opened to reveal the enameled miniature. Inside the watch is the company’s super slim hand-wound caliber 849 movement.
