It was early this year that we witnessed the glorious debut of the Ralph Lauren Safari Tourbillon at Geneva’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie. The watch had then, with its first look, floored many watch aficionados, creating a wide fan base for itself. A clean and classic design that exudes sophistication and style, the RL 67 Tourbillion hailing from the Safari series, is a timepiece equipped with the brand’s first complex tourbillion mechanism. Along with it, we also saw Ralph Lauren unveil the COSC-certified RL67 Chronometer, a complete stand-out that flaunts Arabic numerals on its dial, boldly sized at 6 and 12 o’clock, and comes on Ralph Lauren’s signature faded olive canvas strap.
To celebrate the US debut of this RL67 Safari collection, Ralph Lauren hosted a private champagne reception at his 888th Madison Avenue Flagship. Moreover, giving the evening the necessary spin it needed, Ralph had his vintage Series 1 Land Rover from 1950 parked outside the boutique along with a matte black Land Rover Defender owned by his brother, Jerry Lauren.
Even models at the event were dressed in a safari-attire, setting the right mood.
