Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi watch in white gold updated with a Meteorite dial

Last year at the Baselworld show, Rolex introduced the Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi watch with several updates. Available in white gold only till then, the watch was launched in a stainless steel version for the first time, along with a Jubilee bracelet and a new movement, making it an instant hit. However, the white gold version, introduced in 2014, was not discontinued; in fact, a variant with a blue dial was also launched last year. Rolex has arrived at the 2019 Baselworld show with a slightly updated version of the white gold GMT Pepsi with Oyster bracelet. This year’s version features a Meteorite dial. It’s made from a piece of a meteor that crashed on the surface of the earth. It’s not the first Rolex to come with a Meteorite dial; the material has been used on several other models. However, it’s for the first time that it has featured on the GMT.

Everything else on the watch is exactly the same as before. The case still measures 40mm, sporting a blue and red Cerachrom bezel, and houses the COSC-certified automatic caliber 3285 movements. The only difference from last year’s model is that the new version is in white gold and it features a white gold Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock. The availability of the watch is yet to be announced but it has been priced at CHF 36,600 (roughly $36,800USD).
