Vacheron Constantin Malte Power Reserve Date

After spending some time admiring this timepiece, I gathered my self to write a few words about it – the Vacheron Constantin Malte Power Reserve Date. This latest Malte model from Vacheron Constantin embodies both the style and the spirit of their time. The idea behind this watch is to combine in one timepiece both the power reserve and date complications. And it also exhibits that Malte simplicity! With the exceptional finishing that is the hallmark of traditional watchmaking craftsmanship, this watch houses Vacheron Constantin’s new manual-wound 1420 movement with 20 jewels, beating at 28,800 BPH. It comes with a power reserve of 40 hours and stamped with the Geneva hallmark. The power reserve and date are combined in an attractive round case with slightly fanned horns.

The case is 38mm in diameter, giving the watch a middle position in the Malte line. The innovative Malte Power Reserve & Date will certainly appeal to connoisseurs of traditional watches and lovers of timepieces designed for refined daily living. The model is presented in two versions – 18K white or pink gold – and has a silvered dial in contemporary guilloche work optimizing legibility. This model has a screw-down back and is water-resistant to 30 meters. It comes on a black or brown hand-stitched, square-scaled alligator Mississippi Ensis strap with a classic 18K white or pink gold buckle.
