Last year, Geneva-based jeweler Savelli, entered the luxury smartphone market by launching an exquisite collection of handsets specifically designed for women. Since then, the brand has been expanding its line-up of luxury phones that feature 18-carat gold casings encrusted with diamonds, sapphires, or emeralds along with luxury finishes like ostrich, python, iguana leather. A couple of months back, Savelli launched its most expensive handset ever, named Emerald Night, which was created in collaboration with Gemfields and carries a price tag of $244,000. Savelli has teamed up with the colored gemstone miner Gemfields yet again to come up with a collection named ‘Savelli Ruby Limited Edition.’
According to Savelli, “Ruby Limited Edition is designed for a contemporary woman – powerful, self-confident, passionate but also romantic. It is the ultimate object of desire, empowering its owner with a unique and treasured possession.” The collection has two handsets named Savelli Ruby Mystery and Savelli Ruby Passion. The Ruby Mystery handset has an 18-carat white gold casing set with 395 brilliant-cut rubies (approx. 4.72 ct). The back is made of stainless steel with black PVD treatment wrapped in black alligator rubberized leather. Limited to only 20 examples, the Ruby Mystery is priced at €28,500 ($35,600 approx).
