Studded with diamonds the most expensive key-fob in the world costs more than a Ferrari

When you’re driving around in an extremely rare $2.8 million hypercar, it’s only fair that you splurge as ‘little’ as $250,000 on the key, right? Well, the folks at Optimal Innovative Solutions certainly agree to this and have unveiled a customized key for the Koenigsegg Agera R that’s made of platinum and onyx and topped with a cluster of diamonds. The key itself looks more like a piece of jewelry than a remote-control that unlocks the Koenigsegg! The key fob is crafted out of platinum and black onyx. To add to it all, Optimal Innovative Solutions also circled the entire fob with 40 carats of sparkly diamonds.

Currently, the key isn’t available as an option for the Agera R. However, we won’t be too surprised if it shows up on the hypercar’s accessory list. We aren’t sure why this key fob doesn’t have a little carbon fiber on it, since this certainly would match the Agera R’s better. That said, this key is a one-off piece and is probably one of the best ways of giving this Koenigsegg a unique edge. This isn’t the first time we’ve come across an extremely expensive car accessory however. Previously, we stumbled across Breitling’s timepiece for the Bentley Bentayga, with a price tag nearly as much as the car itself!
