A stunning collection of some of the rarest supercars will be up for grabs next month at the inaugural Dubai auction of RM Sotheby’s. The boutique auction will take place on March 9 at the stunning Concrete venue at Alserkal Avenue in the Al Quoz district of Dubai. The UAE is one of the world’s top luxury car markets, and it’s hardly a surprise that some of the coolest new and old automotive creations are being offered for sale at the first-ever supercar auction in Dubai by RM Sotheby’s. The car with the highest pre-sale estimate is a 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling. Named after British racing legend Stirling Moss, the special edition Speedster-bodied car is the last series of the McLaren SLR built in partnership with Mercedes-Benz. Only 75 units were ever built, making it a very rare automobile. The German beauty is expected to fetch as much as $3.5 million.
If you want something rarer, the auction includes a 2016 Koenigsegg Agera RSR. While the Swedish manufacturer built 27 examples of the Agera RS, which was the world’s fastest production car at one point, the one on sale is one-of-three Agera RSR made exclusively for the Japanese market. It is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 that is capable of producing a staggering output of 1,160 horsepower.
Decked out in a menacing shade of black with exposed carbon fiber weaves, the hypercar only has 993 kilometers (about 617 miles) on the odometer and is expected to sell for up to $3.4 million.
Also on sale at the auction is an almost unused 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé. The one-owner car is finished in Scintilla Silver on the outside, contrasted with bright red accents. The track-focused hypercar can bring in as much as $3.3 million. The auction will also include a 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic Recreation by Erik Koux. The extremely detailed replica of what’s considered as one of the most beautiful automobiles ever made might sell for up to $1 million. In addition to these rare beauties, the auction will also see the sale of several special edition Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, and even a half-scale Jaguar E-Type children’s car.
