To stand out for his wedding shoot, Anant, the son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, wore an insane $4.5 million Patek Philippe watch, gleaming in all-platinum and encrusted with 228 diamonds.


From Albert Einstein to Princess Diana, Jay-Z to Mark Wahlberg, Patek Philippe’s client list includes some of history’s biggest celebrities and renowned personalities. A name that now prominently features amongst the brand’s renowned connoisseurs is Anant Ambani, son of the richest person in Asia, Mukesh Ambani. Over the last few years, the billionaire scion has positioned himself as one of the most notable patrons of the Swiss luxury watch brand. Thanks to all the star-studded wedding celebrations for the 29-year-old that culminated last month, we got a closer look at his jaw-dropping watch collection, which includes several of the most exclusive and expensive timepieces ever made by Patek.


However, Anant never ceases to amaze us with his endless collection of rare watches. He was recently spotted wearing another incredibly exclusive timepiece by Patek Philippe, the Grand Complications Ref. 5374/300P all-platinum.

The beautiful timepiece is a stunning platinum Haute Joaillerie version of Patek Philippe’s Reference 5374. The round 42mm case crafted from platinum is paved with baguette-cut diamonds, tracing a luminous geometrical pattern. The bezel is studded with a double row of baguette diamonds, while the dial flange is also adorned with more baguette-cut diamonds. In total, the watch is decorated with 228 baguette-cut diamonds. The timepiece gets a blue lacquered dial with a black gradient dial. Furthermore, it features sapphire hour markers and diamond minute markers.

The Grand Complications Ref. 5374/300P combines two highly sought-after major complications – a minute repeater with “cathedral” gongs and a perpetual calendar. Powering the watch is Patek’s self-winding mechanical Caliber R 27 Q. The minute repeater mechanism with “cathedral” gongs is wrapped almost twice around the movement and produces a deep, rich sound. The watch comes fitted with an alligator strap with a diamond-set fold-over clasp. The incredibly rare timepiece’s original retail price is believed to be around $1.15 million, while its current market value is close to $4.5 million.
