Drake offers a logical explanation to celebrities facing unnecessary backlash on their 10 minute short private jet flights.

Celebrities own private jets and are bound to use them. Once they do, they are termed, climate criminals! Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, and Drake have all faced flak for using their possessions because they do, in fact, harm the environment and even more so when the distance could’ve been a comfortable drive in a supercar. This time things took a different turn when Drake decided to respond to reports of his 14-minute-long flight (his private jet had gone from his native Toronto to Hamilton, covering 38 miles).

NME threw light on the Canadian rapper’s response. He clarified, “This is just them moving planes to whatever airport they are being stored at for anyone who was interested in the logistics. Nobody takes that flight.” Real Toronto News asked its followers on Instagram if Drake was ‘Wrong For Using His $185 Million Jet To Go To Hamilton Or Nah?’

The rapper shut down his detractors by commenting on the post with nearly 4000 likes. Cosmetic mogul Kylie Jenner was in a similar predicament earlier this month when she and beau Travis Scott flew private. Her Instagram post read, ‘You wanna take mine or yours?’ angered fans who questioned Jenner’s out-of-touch reality. One follower lamented, ‘Too much flaunting of your wealth when others are barely surviving!’ while another added, ‘Maybe take neither and reduce your carbon footprint?’

Jack Sweeney, the creator of the flight-tracker account @CelebJets offered an explanation. He said, “I believe it was for parking the aircraft in Camarillo, while they get off at Van Nuys. Same with Kim. It’s probably cheaper.” Do you buy this elucidation?
