In fact, his impressive watch collection is estimated to be worth at least $6 million, which includes several extremely rare and highly desirable timepieces. He was recently spotted wearing one of them while handing out pizzas to fans before a concert.
Recently, Sheeran surprised his fans by turning up at a local pizzeria before he made his way to the sold-out show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 32-year-old Brit was seen having a go at twirling bases and making pizzas himself with the eatery’s owner while wearing an exceedingly rare Rolex watch. According to Dmarge, the watch that can be seen on the singer’s wrist is a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ‘Paul Newman’ ref. 6263, which is believed to be worth at least $700,000. Named after the legendary Hollywood actor, the nickname was given to specific dial variations of the famous Rolex chronograph designed by the dial maker Singer.
Interestingly, Sheeran has been previously spotted wearing a different Paul Newman Daytona, ref. 6239. Believed to be worth $300,000, that version has a steel bezel and black dial. The one worn by the singer while making pizzas last weekend features a panda dial along with a black ceramic bezel. A good example can easily fetch close to $700,000. However, a ref. 6239 originally owned by Newman was recently sold for a record-shattering $17.8 million, making it the third most expensive watch of all time. In addition to owning two rare Paul Newman Daytonas, Sheeran owns a whole gamut of Rolex watches, which includes several new models.
