Erling Haaland, one of the tallest footballers in the world, has enthusiastically booked a $4.5 million Bugatti Tourbillon. But how will the 6’4″ giant fit in a hypercar that has fixed, non-adjustable seats?

Footballers and expensive cars is a story almost as old as the sport itself. It’s a story that sees footballers constantly trying to one up each other. From Cristiano Ronaldo letting his bodyguards drive his rare $10 million Bugatti Centodieci, to Lionel Messi reportedly outbidding Ronaldo for a 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti worth $36 million, it can get out of hand.

Some budding superstars keep it simple though, gradually working their way up the ladder. Which is why Erling Haaland, a Premier League footballer has booked a 1-of-250 Bugatti Tourbillon worth over $4.5 million.

The Norwegian who plays for Manchester City only last year bought an AMG One for about $3 million, becoming one of 275 lucky owners for the track-bred hypercar. Interestingly, Erling Haaland is one of the tallest current Premier League players, towering in at over 6 ft 4 in tall.

If you were wondering how Haaland will fit in a hypercar that’s clearly been designed with a compact cockpit, worry not. The Tourbillon, like other hypercars, features fixed bucket seats to maximise interior room. Instead the driver’s foot controls are adjustable, allowing the lucky owner to set them at the right spot to be able to harness all the 1,800 horsepower.

The Tourbillon is Bugatti’s newest halo hypercar, with an all-new 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine. It manages those insane headline power figures thanks to its hybrid technology, combining the instant torque of three electric motors with the massive internal combustion engine. The Tourbillon is said to do 0-60mph in 2 seconds and can manage the 0-250mph run in 25 seconds. It’s a good thing Haaland’s AMG One would have prepared him for the face-melting acceleration of the Bugatti.
