It took her six years but she’s finally back. Last week, Adele took the internet by surprise when she shared a teaser video for her new single, Easy on Me.
In the 21-second clip, she is seen in her signature black-winged eyeliner, checking her reflection in the rear-view mirror. She pops a cassette while driving the car. As a gentle piano melody plays, several pieces of sheet music fly out from the window.
Fans already guessed that Adele was brewing a new album this year. A series of billboards around the world projected the number “30”, spotted in notable landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Rome’s Colosseum and near the top of the Empire State Building in New York, according to Rolling Stone. The title continues the tradition laid out by bestsellers “19”, “21” and “25” in documenting junctures in the singer’s life.

Never mind the fact she’s 33 already – as Adele mania builds, let’s take a look at how the award-winning singer spends her millions.
She’s a property maven
Adele has come a long way, and where she sleeps is just proof of her success. Last August, it was revealed that the singer is turning two houses in Kensington into one mega-mansion. She will reportedly spend more than £2 million (US$2.7 million) on the project.
She also has a history of snapping properties in the US. She first blew US$9.6 million on a house in California, an exclusive area where Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and Katy Perry reportedly live.
In 2019, after separating from former husband Simon Konecki, Adele moved out and bought another house right next door at US$10.7 million. The singer wanted to remain near so that she and her husband could raise and co-parent their son, Angelo.
This year, she bought a third house from her long-time friend and neighbour Nicole Richie for US$10 million. This is the singer’s third purchase in Hidden Valley in five years.
She bought a Porsche Cayenne
In 2013, Adele treated herself to a Porsche Cayenne worth £100,000 (US$136,000) as a Christmas gift to herself, according to The Mirror.

She bought it just weeks after she passed her driving test, aged 25.
She bought an expensive playhouse for her son
In 2014, when son Angelo was only 18-months-old, he was already living the high life. Adele reportedly splashed US$20,000 on a playhouse that features three turrets, a picket fence, a veranda, and can be even be hooked up to an electricity supply.
She loves to wear luxury brands
Looking good comes with a price. Adele has her stylist, Gaelle Paul, to ensure she looks her best, especially at red carpet events. The Sun reports that her services cost £20,000 (US$27,000) a year.
Adele is also known for wearing and favouring high-end labels such as Linda Farrow, Christian Louboutin, Burberry and Chanel.
She rented a bowling alley with Drake
Given that their musical superstardom in on par, it’s perhaps no surprise that Drake, who has a sizeable net worth of his own, is friends with Adele. In 2019, it was reported that they rented Pinz Bowling Center in Los Angeles to hang out, according to Insider. There was no mention of how much they spent to rent the whole place
