It took her six years but she’s finally back. Last week, Adele took the internet by surprise when she shared a teaser video for her new single, Easy on Me.

In the 21-second clip, she is seen in her signature black-winged eyeliner, checking her reflection in the rear-view mirror. She pops a cassette while driving the car. As a gentle piano melody plays, several pieces of sheet music fly out from the window.

Fans already guessed that Adele was brewing a new album this year. A series of billboards around the world projected the number “30”, spotted in notable landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Rome’s Colosseum and near the top of the Empire State Building in New York, according to Rolling Stone. The title continues the tradition laid out by bestsellers “19”, “21” and “25” in documenting junctures in the singer’s life.

Never mind the fact she’s 33 already – as Adele mania builds, let’s take a look at how the award-winning singer spends her millions.

In 2019, after separating from former husband Simon Konecki, Adele moved out and bought another house right next door at US$10.7 million. The singer wanted to remain near so that she and her husband could raise and co-parent their son, Angelo.

This year, she bought a third house from her long-time friend and neighbour Nicole Richie for US$10 million. This is the singer’s third purchase in Hidden Valley in five years.

She rented a bowling alley with Drake
Given that their musical superstardom in on par, it’s perhaps no surprise that Drake, who has a sizeable net worth of his own, is friends with Adele.
