You think Kylie Jenner and boyfriend Timothée Chalamet go hand in hand? Not really. It’s more like backlash has been her most consistent companion, and it came visiting on her recent trip to Venice for Jeff Bezos’ wedding. The makeup mogul was spotted descending in the beautiful European city with her adorable kids, Stormi, seven, and Aire, three.
The terrific trio traveled from Los Angeles to Venice aboard her $73 million private jet, Kylie Air. The Bombardier Global Express 7500, once a Barbie-pink and white “Kylie Air,” now flaunts a shimmering silver chrome exterior and clocked around 12 hours of flight time spread across a handful of days. According to CelebrityJets, the private jet produced an estimated 24 tons of carbon pollution.
Kylie’s single private jet trip produced as much CO₂ is equal to driving a gasoline car three times around the planet. In other words, the 27-year-old used up the electricity-related carbon budget of three households for an entire year, in just a few hours. The lady of the lip kits has been using her private jet non-stop, and the backlash in this case isn’t unwarranted.
In fact, LuxuryLaunches did a story in January 2025 revealing that, just 20 days into the new year, the businesswoman had already taken 12 flights, emitting 163 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere. One of those flights lasted just 15 minutes, all to avoid a 45-minute drive. In comparison, the 12-hour flight to Venice with her kids still makes some sense.
The beauty mogul’s jet was one of nearly 90 private aircraft that descended upon Venice for the extravagant nuptials of the world’s third-richest man, Jeff Bezos, and his longtime partner, Lauren Sánchez. Still, it wouldn’t be inaccurate to say Kylie Air, thanks to its $73 million price tag and new silver makeover, was among the most striking of the lot. The shift from pink to silver came after a reported $250,000 splurge on the exterior upgrade. Inside, it’s a sanctuary of all things luxe, from the décor and the finery to even the food.
Hermès blankets on every already plush seat ensure that long-haul flights feel like sitting on clouds. A private bedroom with a full-size bed guarantees you descend in a beautiful location looking and feeling just as beautiful. And the cherry on top? A decadent in-flight menu. A once-billionaire like Jenner indulges in treats like Asian chicken salad, Caprese salad, gluten-free chicken Alfredo, and strawberry margaritas made with Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila, served 30,000 feet in the air.
So it’s not just the planet feeling the weight, your economy seat may feel a little heavier too.
