Tom Cruise has a way of captivating his fans like no other superstar. Whether it is waving to Norwegian motorists sitting atop the roof of the Orient Express train and flashing that million-dollar smile or landing his helicopter in a fan’s garden, there is no saying what he might do. Tom Cruise has been shooting for the upcoming Mission: Impossible installment and needed somewhere to land as the nearby airport was shut. In England, the family living in Baginton, Warwickshire, was contacted and told an unnamed VIP seeks permission to land a helicopter on their property.
Little did Alison Webb know that VIP would turn out to be heartthrob Tom Cruise? All this while she was most excited about getting her kids a chance to see a helicopter up close and in their backyard, no less. The kids not only enjoyed watching the bird land in their backyard but also saw a superstar emerging, chatting with them before offering the kids got to go for a helicopter ride with a pilot. At the same time, the actor attended the meeting he was running late for.
Alison Webb told the BBC, “He went straight over to the children for a chat, then came over and elbow bumped us and said thank you very much. Then he said if the kids would like, they could go up in the helicopter.” Tom Cruise posed for pictures and indeed turned a regular day into an extraordinary one for the family. An excited Webb added, “It turned out to be an incredible day. It was surreal; I still now can’t believe it happened.”
Since the movie is taking forever to complete, such sightings of Cruise cruising in and out of the UK have become familiar, but this real-life Ethan Hunt stunt indeed took more than a few breaths away!
