Balenciaga has made Crocs high heels. But, its a post pandemic world and we just don’t care.

Weird and wonderful collaborations exist in plenty, and a new one on the block is between Balenciaga and Crocs. The marquees have come together to created heeled clogs (and more) by combining the classic resin shoe with a sturdy elevated heel in a variety of bright colors.

The bold range features the stiletto clogs, which warps the clog for an elevated look marked by a striking black tube heel. Accompanying it is a knee-high boot extension of the clog that retains the iconic perforated and dot ribbed details with a heightened, exaggerated sole segment.

Both versions come in green, gray, and black colorways with subtle “BALENCIAGA” branding across them. They are designed by Creative Director Demna Gvasalia and were previously featured at Balenciaga’s recent Spring 2022 “Balenciaga Clones” collection showing.

To no surprise, the footwear was quick to catch attention on Twitter, with users giving a mixed bag of reviews. ‘I mean… wtf Balenciaga and Crocs are thinking they are doing with this,’ wrote one user, while another added, ‘Please don’t. This is painful.’ There is no word on the release of the Balenciaga’s Spring 2022 “Balenciaga Clones” Crocs collaboration, but we expect it hit shelves soon enough!
