Balenciaga’s latest sneakers cost $550, they look like a dog has chewed them, and yet they are sold out.

Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga is back sans improvement with yet another pair of busted shoes for an expected expensive price tag of $550. Paris High sneakers though evidently damaged, are a definite improvement from the exorbitant $1850 Paris sneakers. The shoe with the missing heel comes in black and off-white, with most sizes of the ‘distressed rubber and canvas’ trainers already sold out. It is Balenciaga, after all, and if they can successfully sell trash-bag-inspired bags for an outrageous $1,790, then the distorted Paris High sneakers are quite the steal.

Meanwhile, the Balenciaga drawstring bag made out of calfskin leather does carry the luxe logo emblazoned subtly. As per New York Post, this tasteless trash bag comes in an equally lackluster white as well as yellow and blue. “I couldn’t miss an opportunity to make the most expensive trash bag in the world because who doesn’t love a fashion scandal?” Balenciaga’s creative director Demna Gvasalia told Women’s Wear Daily.

Net-a-Porter commented on the heel-less design stating, “They’re set on rubber soles and stamped with the brand’s moniker along the toes, creating the illusion that the back has been cut off’.
