Dior is here to present a bit of adventure with its all-new ski capsule. The marquee has teamed up with the French brand Akonite to create an exclusive sled (and more) designed by none other than Kim Jones. Yes, that’s right!
Manufactured exclusively in France, the sled is sculpted using ash and poplar wood produced thanks to sustainable forest management. It features a modern design along with white stripes and a characteristic “D” shaped outline that allows it to be carried on the shoulder.
Almost fully handcrafted, the sled’s frame is painted navy blue with a ‘DIOR’ signature on top along with a laser-engraved Dior Oblique motif as well as stainless steel runners engraved with the Cannage motif, a House symbol.
It reflects the technical expertise of Akonite along with the enviable aesthetic of Dior and is part of the Ski Capsule by Kim Jones. In addition to the sled, the ensemble also features goggles, gloves, hats, helmets, boots, and low-top shoes in icy blue, black, brown, and beige hues.
The Dior X Akonite original ski capsule sled for men is currently available for sale in Dior boutiques worldwide.
