Backed by investments from Chanel’s owners and L’Oréal’s heiress, the Olsen twins’ label, The Row, known as the ultimate quiet-luxury powerhouse, has seen its valuation soar to an impressive $1 billion

The Row, a quiet-luxury brand named after London’s iconic Savile Row, is making waves. Owned by the famous Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley, who charmed audiences with their adorable roles in Full House, the brand was founded in 2006 and has since carved a niche in the exclusive world of high fashion. So much so that the Wertheimer brothers, owners of the House of Chanel, and L’Oreal’s billionaire heiress, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers (via Tethys Invest), have invested in The Row, owned by Dualstar, the entertainment LLC of the famous sisters.

According to Bloomberg, another notable investor is Imaginary Ventures, co-founded by fashion entrepreneur Natalie Massenet. Despite these major investments, which value the company at around $1 billion, the fashionable founders remain the majority shareholders. The cute girls who stole hearts as Hollywood child stars now see stores and shows packed with eager buyers, drawn to their surprisingly logo-free label that prides itself on wardrobe staples renowned for exceptional quality and accessories par excellence.

The Row has become the undisputed leader in quiet luxury, offering leather handbags like the Margaux for $8,000, cotton jersey t-shirts for $500, jeans for $1,000, and trench coats starting at $4,000. The brand’s unflinching ethos and understated DNA don’t scream for attention, which is perhaps why it’s receiving more of it.

The secretive Wertheimer brothers own Chanel.

Unconcerned with social media presence, the label even stirred conversation by banning phone use at its fashion show this year, making the event more exclusive and adding mystery. Only those in the front row truly know what goes on at The Row.
