Hennessy has outdone itself once again! This time the marquee has introduced Hennessy Paradis magnum in a novel decanter to celebrate the NBA’s 75th anniversary. The latter is created in partnership with designer Lorenz Bäumer and is truly one of its kind!
Crafted to look like an authentic basketball, the decanter is mouth-blown and contains hand-faceted Baccarat crystal. It can hold 1.75-liters and even features a faceted surface pattern that intensifies the coppery reflections of the cognac inside.
Inside the luxe carafe is the classic Hennessy Paradis that was created in 1979 by Maurice Fillioux, Hennessy’s sixth-generation Master Blender. It is made by bringing together the rarest, most supple Eaux-de-vie reserved in ancient oak barrels in the Chai Paradis cellar.
Bäumer’s design of the decater aims to combine the excitement of basketball with the poetry of Paradis and the fire of a diamond. It is embellished with gold markings retracing the lines of the basketball and comes housed in a creative cubic case crafted in orange leather.
The packaging also doubles as a trophy case, bearing a signed and numbered gold-finished plaque. Inside it, one can find two balloon glasses handmade by Baccarat, an arced fusil, and a special golden key that opens both the carafe and its coffret.
The Paradis x NBA carafe was first sampled by DJ Khaled on board a yacht in Miami this weekend. He was the first person to get his hands on the delivery. Excited, he exclaimed on Instagram: “Excited to be the first person in the world to own this limited-edition Hennessy Paradis decanter in celebration of the NBA’s 75th anniversary. Big shout-out to Hennessy for the incredible experience.”
