Dubai’s iconic Burj Al Arab hotel is all about living in luxury and excess, and while the hotel is already well known for its extravagant rooms and lifestyle, it’s now also known for setting a record in the famous Guinness Book of World Records. Along with AmStur Caviar the hotel has created the largest tin of caviar.
The record setting tin contained 17 kg of deep-grey Empress caviar, it’s the only caviar in the world’s that’s certified fully organic from native-raised sturgeon. The tin was named The Mashenomak after the Great White Sturgeon of Native American legend. It was custom made by AmStur.
“We are thrilled to have partnered with AmStur Caviar and delighted to share this incredible record breaking experience with our most valuable and loyal guests. At Burj Al Arab, we pride ourselves on extending to our guests unique and memorable experiences and we welcomed this opportunity to introduce them to AmStur – The World’s Finest caviar, which also I am pleased to add is environmentally friendly and sustainable, very much in line with Jumeirah Group’s philosophy” said Doris Greif, Senior Vice President Operations – MEASA Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts.
“We were very proud to partner with the prestigious Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in this unique undertaking, and extremely excited to introduce our world-class caviar to the guests,” said AmStur Caviar Partner Nicholas Narsavidze. “AmStur’s native-raised, white sturgeon, caviar has been acclaimed by renowned chefs and discerning consumers throughout the world for its exquisite flavour and perfect texture. Our success demonstrates that culinary excellence and sustainable practices can go hand-in-hand, and we look forward to bringing AmStur caviar to everyone who not only appreciates fine quality, but cares about protecting the environment.”
A requirement of the record was that the entire portion of caviar had to be completely consumed and lucky guests at the event ate the delicacy out of mother of pearl spoons! At the Burj, even silver spoons are passé!
