Designer Yves Behar has introduced an AI powered smart mirror that also doubles as an all-inclusive home fitness system

With COVID-19, home workouts have gained immense popularity. And contributing their fair share to the trend are Designer Yves Behar and entrepreneur Trent Ward who recently unveiled a smart mirror that not only acts as an aesthetic addition to your home but also helps you stay in shape! Yes, that’s right!

Designed as an all-in-one home fitness system, ‘Forme’ as it is called provides screenings of fitness classes as per the user’s choice. The full-length mirror is equipped with speakers, a microphone, and a camera and can store high-tech resistance training equipment within its structure. It features pullies and adjustable, high-quality cast aluminum arms that can be adjusted as per one’s preference and the device can either be wall-mounted and kept free-standing to suit differing décor needs.

Ultimately, Forme aims at creating an immersive experience by collecting the user’s data from previous workouts and throwing personalized recommendations on the correct weights, optimal exercises based on age and weight, and the ideal amount of activity for one’s benefit. Commenting on it, Behar in a statement said, “We film the workouts in a way that makes it feel as though the user is actually in the same room as their trainer,” he further added, “Everyone is busy, which makes it harder to work out a few times a week for your well-being. Forme goes a long way in solving that problem.”

The exclusive smart mirror cum home fitness system costs USD 3,995 and is now available to pre-order online. It will be launched for retail sale in LA and New York in August this year. Well, looks like home workouts just got a whole new meaning!
