Priced at a whopping $3000, ‘The Crystal Tea’ service includes a package for two at the French crystal brand’s flagship property in Manhattan. As part of it, Michelin-starred chef Gabriel Kreuther and Baccarat Executive Chef Ali Dey Daly have reimagined afternoon tea to pay homage to the brand’s exclusive craftsmanship and repute over the years. The menu includes a heady mix of both savories and sweets, including Petrossian caviar, fresh white Alba truffles, Jambo Iberico de Bellota, Kobe beef, and lobster on the one hand, and Sacher Torte, Bakewell Tart made with Madagascar vanilla beans and warm housemade scones with Devonshire cream on the other.

Scheduled to take place in the spacious Grand Salon, an intimate room with cozy corners and soft, high-backed benches, the tea service is exclusive due to its setting. With mirrors, crystals, and bespoke Baccarat chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, guests enjoy their afternoon soiree in the lap of luxury.

Alongside the menu items, they can also relish two glasses of Cristal Roederer Champagne 2012 and a selection of teas on a three-tier Baccarat crystal server. Commenting on it, Executive Chef Dey Daly said, “The tea is truly ‘infused with luxury’, with exquisite ingredients in the sparkling surroundings of the Grand Salon. It’s the ultimate example of a tea truly fit for a king or queen.”
